Project Checklist

​

A. Format

  • You use the correct format, margins, page numbering (Roman and Arabic) as mentioned in the  format guidelines HERE

  • Make sure your format is unified throughout the paper, and the margin is not indented more than required.

B. Components

  • ​You have all the sections mentioned in the green box

  • They are in correct order

  • Each section has the elements explained in the class and match the elements shown in the samples.

​

C. Language

  • You are using formal language.

  • You use proper verb tenses as taught in ENGL 154 and in this course.

  • You use passive voice where appropriate.

  • You follow guidelines in the textbook lessons on:

    • Lessons 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10 3.5 in the Literature review and in the discussion.

    • Lessons 2.11, 2.12 and 2.13 throughout the project.

    • Lesson 2.14 for the Findings

    • Lesson 4.5 in the methodology.

D. References

  • All your sources are references twice, once in-text and ones at the end in the chapter called References (or Bibliography).

  • You follow the guidelines of Harvard Referencing Style of IEEE. 

  • You use one style and not mix two styles. 

  • You paraphrase and summarise, not copy-and-paste.

E. Completion of the Project

  • Your findings are targeted toward the goal and objectives.

  • Your discussion answers the research question as it develops and fulfill all the objectives, and by the end of it, your goal will be achieved.

  • Your discussion takes the findings further by linking them to other research or other statistics published in other studies. It also interpret the findings (i.e. what they mean? Why they are like this? What could have affected or caused them? How does think link to the topic and what you suggest to be done based on your findings?)

  • Once totally completed, update your Table of Contents, List of Tables and List of Figures.

  • Ask a friend or two to have a quick look at it and let you know if they spot any errors or flaws.

F. Submitting the Project

  • Attach two copies of your project: One Word doc and one PDF.

  • Make sure you write the correct Subject line, and Write the transmittal letter in the compose box as it will be graded:

In the compose box, write your Transmittal letter:
